SOHI District Update - Car Crashes, Clean-ups & Conferences! June 2009
License HearingThe SOHI District is hard at work making change where possible. This year so far the district assisted Alderman Robert Bauman with decreasing the number of liquor and 24 hour licenses in the area.  The partnership between the Milwaukee Police Department and the district has been invaluable including the use of surveillance and reporting problem properties to DNS.   Make sure to check out the videos and photos below!

Cleaning up the SOHI District

WISN and MPDOn the left, Police Officer Ryan McNichol and the Community Prosecution Team are interviewed by WISN regarding the neighborhood clean-up.  This clean-up comes after a conference attended by McNichol and me that addressed vacant properties, one of the targets for this clean-up.

The community clean-up involved over 12 partners including Artists and Display, Safe & Sound, Neighborhood House and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.  Monthly clean-ups are planned for the next three months.
