THANK YOU FOR
YOUR CAMPAIGN SUPPORT
Each fall the local United Way contacts companies, gives presentations, and makes a special effort to thank all who have participated in our fund-raising campaign. More than 13,000 individuals and 220 companies donate annually to the United Way of Stanislaus County to help people in our community who need it most.
The work we do in the community is made possible by those who donate and volunteer to support our work.
Thank you.

SUCCESS STORY
With your support, people in need receive help every day. Here's one success story from Catholic Charities, a United Way partner agency, and its Homemaker Program: A client's family moved out of the area and she became more dependent on our Homemaker Program to meet routine needs and to provide for social interaction. When the client fell, her homemaker gave her information on a free emergency response system from the California Information Access program (C-TAP). Together the client and her homemaker took steps to "fall proof" her home. This has made a big difference in the client's confidence and in maintaining her emotional and mental well-being.

A VITA SERVICE

Twelve sites open Jan. 31 in Stanislaus County. Last tax season, the VITA program completed more than 1,500 tax returns, and returned $675,000 in EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit).
All volunteers are trained and certified by IRS employees available throughout the community. Please call 2-1-1 for more information.
