SUCCESS STORYtwooneone

We're proud to share success stories of people in our community who have been helped by one of the United of Way of Stanislaus County's partner agencies.

This story is from the Center for Human Services' Patterson Teen Center, a program partially funded by United Way of Stanislaus County:

The Patterson Teen Center began hosting Dinner at the Teen Center every Tuesday night in September.

The youth, with assistance from the staff, prepare the meal, set the table, and clean up after. They really enjoy this night because it gives them the opportunity to sit down as a "family" and have dinner.

Many of them have said that they don't have dinners like this at home. Staff noticed that this usually is a time when the teens talk about something that may be going on in the community or at home that they may need help with.

The measure of a life, after all,
is not its duration, but its donation.
