A MEMO FOR THE NEW CEO!
| Friday, March 29th the United Way of Stanislaus County announced Francine DiCiano as the new President & CEO.
Francine DiCiano President/CEO
 | Below is the official memo from Leonard Jalli, our Board Chair.
Fellow board members, partner agencies and United Way staff,
It is with great pleasure that I get to announce our new CEO Francine DiCiano. Francine has shown us all what it is to "Live United". The board has witnessed first hand how effective Francine is in working with staff, our partner agencies and our community.
As many of you know from her late night emails, Francine is committed to making this United Way the premier fund raising organization in this community. We as a board have also seen her strength in working with our partner agencies as the impact council model continues to focus on measurable outcomes.
As we move forward the importance of teamwork and collaboration will be the driver to the success of this organization and we are confident that Francine will lead the United Way further down this road to success. Leonard Jalli 2009-2010 Board Chair
United Way staff are excited to now have Francine as our President & CEO. We asked for some responses from staff on what they think of her nomination, and here's what we received:
"Finally an eagle to lead this flock of turkeys." David Rivera, 2-1-1 Operator Specialist
"The United Way staff and I are excited to have Francine leading the charge. We hope
to continue and improve the great work we're doing in our community." Christopher Scott, Campaign Associate
"As an employee of United Way for 13 years, I have seen many changes over the years. United Way has turned full circle in the last year since Francine took on the Interim CEO position. I can honestly say I am excited about the new direction of United Way with the long awaited appointment of Francine DiCiano as the new CEO of United Way. Francine has shown her dedication to United Way through her leadership and is a positive role model to all United Way staff. We all work better as a team because of her. I am REALLY excited for her, United Way, United Way staff, United Way partner agencies and our community! We will all benefit and see positive changes with her in charge." Linda Tagholm, 2-1-1 Program Manager
"When the Board decided that Francine would officially take the position as United Way of Stanislaus County CEO, I was relieved. I cannot think of anyone else that will do the job as well as Francine has been. This past year Francine has proved that she can successfully work with the community and work with business leaders. Because of her we are moving in a direction that truly reflects our LIVE UNITED motto." Estrella Garcia, 2-1-1 Advocate & Community Impact
