Our multi-step LCA certification program is designed to couple LCA modeling skills with LCA interpretation and report writing skills.  Through a series of online or on-site classes students will become highly competent in performing, managing and communicating Life Cycle Assessments.  

Students may apply previously attended EarthShift courses to these new certifications. To request these EarthShift LCA and SimaPro certificates, please email training@earthshift.com with the dates of prior course attendance.

a two day course to provide participants with the knowledge to perform a consequential Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study

a one day interactive seminar intended as a day of discussion and learning about new ideas being developed in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

EarthShift's training manager, Laurel McEwen, will be leading a pre-conference workshop on Integrating LCA Metrics into Sustainable Packaging Initiatives on February 22 at this year's Sustainability in Packaging show.

The Workshop will have attendees working in small groups to disassemble a package bought at a local store, and then build an LCA model of it using our simplified web based LCA tool, PackageSmart. As you work, there will be discussion and lecture breaks where teachers will cover import aspects of LCA modeling such as functional unit, impact assessment, life cycle inventory and end of life modeling.
