To show our appreciation for all the hard work and effort that you, our clients, colleagues and partners, have put in to making our world a cleaner, greener and more sustainable planet in 2009; Earthshift has made a donation of profits to the Central Asia Institue.
The Central Asia Institute was founded by Greg Mortenson, author of Three Cups of Tea, to provide education especially to girls in countries where that is not the norm. Lack of education, particularly in women, is tied to high birth rates and by extension, higher civil unrest. By improving education, we tackle two great contributors to environmental degradation--population increase and our global military complex using vast resources.
This contribution was made on behalf of you in the hopes to bring a little peace and good fortune to those in this world that need it the most.
