Apartment Rents May Rise a Little

Apartment Rents May Rise a LittleA study from USC shows 2010 rents in Los Angeles County decreasing 3.5% and in Orange County by 2.5%. Riverside and San Bernardino Counties are expected to stay fairly level, while San Diego County is actually expected to go up a bit because of high housing prices and an improving local economy.

Taking Care of Business in Phoenix

Rancho ViejoOver on North 22nd Avenue in Phoenix is the lovely gated community of Rancho Viejo. It's a place where residents relax knowing every issue will be taken care of quickly. Says Candace W. on apartmentratings.com; "The office staff are very outgoing down to earth people and make you feel at home. I love the apartments so much that I have signed another lease. I recommend these apartments to everyone."

Aggressively signing up new residents and delivering great service to everyone at Rancho Viejo. THAT is how we take care of business!

"Don't compromise yourself. You're all you've got."
- Janis Joplin
Recycling in Los Angeles

Recycling in Los AngelesNot everyone knows that Los Angeles apartment buildings, condominiums, cooperatives and other multiple residential properties with over five units can qualify for free recycling pickup. While individual residents can't participate in this city-sponsored program, building owners can enroll an unlimited number of properties in the blue bin campaign.

And it's easy to get started, too!
The Revolt Over Smart Meters

The Revolt Over Smart MetersPG&E - California's largest utility - has been ordered by state energy regulators to make public the utility's reports on the status of its SmartMeter program. The program, in which PG&E wirelessly receives information about gas and electricity use, is under state investigation over its accuracy in reading energy usage.

The 3 year-old program has generated nearly 1,000 customer complaints to regulators so far.
