Sunriser Defends Her CommunityJenny Magallanes in her CERT gear
Sunriser Jenny Magallanes is trained to put out small fires, do triage, and handle search & rescue. She's part of CERT - the Community Emergency Response Team - an effort to teach 1% of San Diego residents (15,000 people) in basic civil defense skills. An alliance with the SD Fire Department, CERT participation by our staff is just one more way we give back to the community while making our neighborhoods some of the nicest places anyone would want to live in.
 
Paying You to Save WaterSaving water can save money
GREAT NEWS! The San Diego County Water Authority has reinstated its $450,000 water conservation rebate program towards the purchase of clothes washers, toilets, irrigation controllers and sprinkler nozzles. Rebates are available through June 30 or until funding runs out, and water rates go up significantly on July 1. Rebates are first-come, first-served, so hurry!
