Tech Tip
Process to have each control definition have its own operation defaults
As always before making any significant system changes, make sure the system is fully backed up.
Instructions- From the Mastercam® File menu, select "Open Shared Folder"
Browse to Mill > Ops folder
Make a copy of the "Mill_Inch.DEFAULTS-5"
Rename "Mill_Inch.DEFAULTS-5" to a name associated with the specific control.
In Control Definition Manager, select "Files" on the left, then "Default operation library (inch)".
Using the browse button, select the control specific operation defaults file.
Save settings.
It is important to make sure that there is no file named "Mill_Inch.DEFAULTS-5" remaining in the Ops folder, if there is Mastercam will use it instead of the desired library.
The same process is used for other machine types or metric files, referencing the appropriate files.
