Jason Wiley, Chief Operating Officer of the facility, saw a need for this facility.
The center is named after his late grandfather who had Alzheimer's Disease.  Members of the Carr family, Oxford Senior Properties and local leaders are pictured at the official ground breaking ceremony.  Many community members showed up to celebrate this groundbreaking as well.

Derby Twins needing host families this summer
The Derby Twins is needing families to host college baseball players from across the nation this summer.  The players spend the entire summer (June 1 - August 15) in Derby playing in the Jayhawk League.

While in Derby, these young men stay in the homes of local host families because they are not paid and have very little free time to work while playing baseball.  Therefore, they need affordable living while they are far from home.  Host families make it possible for the Twins to continue recruiting the best players from across the country.

If you are interested in opening your home to a Derby Twins player this summer, please contact Jeff Wells at 992-3623 or Jim DeGarmo, 789-0996.
