City of Derby Tree Lighting Event
Thursday, November 18 - 6:30 pm
Derby High School northwest parking lot
The City of Derby Tree Lighting will be held this Thursday at a new location - the northwest parking lot of Derby High School. The city tree will be located just south of the waterfall on
Rock Rd.
This event is free and open to the public. There will be Kettle Korn, cookies and hot chocolate,Christmas carols, entertainment for the kids, and, of course, pictures with Santa taken by CL!X Portrait Studios of Derby.
Follow this link for more information about parking and the events to be held at the tree lighting. The community is encouraged to usher in the holiday season at this festive event.

Bernie Koch, Executive Director of Kansas Economic Progress Council (KEPC), will give an update on business and economic development issues facing the 2011 Kansas Legislature. KEPC is a statewide non-profit organization of businesses, trade organizations, chambers of commerce, and others interested in advancing sound public policy in Kansas to enhance our state's quality of life.
