Going Green!

going green heading

Order your lights today in time for holiday lighting delivery!  Call John Stulsatz at 788-5416 to order.

The Derby Chamber of Commerce is encouraging business owners and managers to decorate their buildings, windows and store fronts with green L.E.D. lights this holiday season.
Why green L.E.D. lights? The "Going Green" holiday theme will promote Derby's business community AND energy conservation. L.E.D. lights are more brilliant and durable than traditional lights and use 1/10 the electricity.
New marketing opportunities can be created in the future to bring attention to shopping in Derby. Green lights will encourage people to keep the "green" in Derby by shopping locally.
Plan now to be one of the first businesses to "Go Green." John Stuhlsatz, TenderCare Lawn and Landscape (788-5416), will provide bids for installing the lights or lights can be ordered from TenderCare at a competitive price to install yourself. A limited supply of green lights will also be available at Derby Wal-Mart, Lowes and Dillons.
Help spread the word! Work with neighboring businesses in your shopping center to create a "Going Green" plan. If you don't own your building, encourage the owner/property manager to get involved and help light up the business community. If you can't trim the building, trim something! A little bit of green here and there will still add to the overall "green" landscape.
