Cowley College is offering two classes in Kansas Lead Paint Regulations. Effective April 2010, a new EPA rule affects paid renovation contractors, maintenance workers in multi-family housing and painters and other specialty trades. The fourth annual Summer Fest event is scheduled for Saturday, August 28 at High Park from 5:00-10:00 p.m. This event is organized by the Derby Community Coalition Promoting Healthy Choices and is sponsored in part by the City of Derby's A.C.E. Grant and community sponsorships and donations. Mailings for the event will be going out soon for sponsorship opportunities and booth reservations (booths are open from 5:00-8:00).  | Downtown Wichita Community Outreach Meeting scheduled for Derby |
Meetings are being held throughout the Wichita area to present the Downtown Wichita Draft Master Plan and get feedback on the plan's proposed vision concepts and action strategies.
A meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at 7:00 pm at Derby City Hall, 611 Mulberry. This meeting will increase awareness of and gather feedback on the downtown vision.
The meeting is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend. |
