Sustainability Coalition Seeking Public Input: County-wide Plan Ready for Review

The Hancock County Sustainability Coalition is asking for input on their recently drafted city and county-wide sustainability plan.  All city and county residents are invited to review the plan online.  It is available to view or download at the Hancock Regional Planning Commission's website (www.hancockrpc.org), or via the link below.  A two-page executive summary and a limited number of printed copies are also available at the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library.

The plan addresses six main areas: flood control, energy, green economy, sustainable living, parks and recreation, and education and outreach.  It was developed partly in response to feedback at community roundtable discussions held in 2010.

All comments on the plan should be directed to Coalition director, Dr. Michael Reed at reed@findlay.edu (419/434-4679).   The comment period is open until June 20th.  When finalized, the plan will be made available to the public through the HRPC website.
