The National Labor Relations Board has issued a Final Rule requiring most private-sector employers to notify employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act by posting a notice. Employers should begin posting the notice on November 14, 2011. Copies of the notice will be available on the NLRD website.

The ECLIPSe (Emerging Community Leaders Investing in Philanthropic Service) Partnership's ENGAGE Youth Council has announced that applications for their next round of competitive grants are now available. The Arts Partnership of Greater Hancock County and First Presbyterian Church of Findlay will join forces for an afternoon of barbershop music and side-splitting humor in Barbershop Harmonies, featuring the Fostoria Lake Plains Barbershop Chorus and The Hot Air Buffoons Barbershop Quartet. RED CROSS AIDS TWO FAMILIES IN EARLY MORNING FIRE
The American Red Cross Hancock County Chapter responded to an early Saturday morning fire on West Lincoln Street in Findlay. The Red Cross Disaster Action Team quickly assessed the immediate needs of the families involved and provided assistance for shelter, food and clothing for a family of four who own the home and a tenant on the third floor of the home.

All Red Cross disaster relief is provided free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the American people. If you'd like to make a donation to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, visit www.hancockredcross.org, text "REDCROSS" to 90999 or call (419) 422-9322.

Prostate Cancer Screening to be held at Blanchard Valley Hospital
A prostate cancer screening will be held Thursday, September 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. on the 4th floor of the Donnell Patient Pavilion at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

All men age 50 and older, or those over 45 years of age with high risk factors for prostate cancer, are welcome to attend. This screening is offered by appointment only and is limited to the first 150 men to sign up. For an appointment, call 419.423.5451.

Ohio's newest member of HON's State Contract Pricing Program

Hancock County Housing Coalition for 1 Matters: Project Connect
Do you want to Make a Difference??!!  Join the Hancock County Housing Coalition for 1 Matters: Project Connect.  This event is a resource fair for families and individuals who are homeless or under housed.  The event is on Make a Difference Day, Saturday, October 22nd at The Dock at St. Mark's Church, 800 S. Community Foundation Announces Special Grant Opportunity
The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation has announced a special grant opportunity highlighting five field of interest funds. Local nonprofit organizations must submit a letter of intent by November 15, 2011 to be eligible. If approved, full proposals will be due December 15, 2011. Proposals will be reviewed and acted upon at the February 2012 board meeting. Grant requests must be a minimum of $2,000. Stormwater Forum Set For October 11, 2011: "Stormwater Pollution in an Urban & Suburban Environment"
The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership and the City of Findlay invite the community to a
public forum on Stormwater Pollution. The forum will be held at the Findlay Inn & Conference Center located at 200 East Main Cross St. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The free forum is open to the public. The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership is a non-profit volunteer organization for promoting water quality, conservation and recreational activities in Allen, Hardin, Hancock, Putnam, Seneca and Wyandot Counties.
