Kathy Celebrates Five Years with GFI
Kathy Pahl, GreaterFindlayInc.'s Information Services Specialist, recently celebrated her fifth anniversary with the organization. Kathy began working as an intern with GFI in February of 2005 as a part of her studies at Owens Community College. Kathy was asked to stay permanently in March, and a few months later graduated with honors and received an associate's degree in Applied Business Office Information Technology. In her role at GFI, Kathy assists in the gathering of information to build and maintain positive relationships with Chamber members and those inquiring about the Greater Findlay community. She also handles scheduling, maintains the membership database and community contacts, processes the mail, assists with member retention and handles office supply purchasing and various clerical duties. "I'm proud to work with GFI," said Kathy. "I've learned a lot, met many wonderful people, and am so much more aware of all that Findlay has to offer." Before working with GFI, Kathy held positions managing retail, and working as a receptionist for various organizations. She was born in Findlay, the oldest girl of six children, and has lived here almost all her life. She has one daughter, Nicole, and a beautiful granddaughter, Paightyn, who is nine months old. "I love spending time with family, and really enjoy living in Findlay," Kathy says. "I have watched it mature and grow, and there are always great local events to attend." Kathy has participated in many local events and committees, including CarTunes on Main, Cancer Patient Services and the Findlay Exchange Club's Healing Field project. Kathy also enjoys gardening and crafts, and would love to travel to Ireland someday. GreaterFindlayInc. is truly grateful to Kathy for her years of dedicated service. If you would like to congratulate Kathy personally, you can send her a note at kpahl@greaterfindlayinc.com. |
