Networking Tip from Deb Peters
CNP Guru, debby@certifiednetworker.com

Strong relationships are developed over time.  Some ways to increase the likelihood of a strong relationship is to help the other person as much as you possibly can.  That does NOT mean selling something to her.  What it does mean is to listen carefully as the other person talks.  What is she telling you that you can react to?  Does she need an introduction to someone you already know or could you secure a speaking engagement for this new friend?

Building a strong relationship that will payoff in the future is very much like putting money into a savings account.  You must first deposit money before you can take it out.

Put this into practice at the next Business 2 Business networking event on April 23 at Country Inn & Suites.

Here's what participants are saying.....
  • "I was very hesitant about doing this, but I had a blast! I think I have several good prospects!"
  • "Really enjoyed meeting everyone. Would like to have the opportunity to meet even more business representatives!"
  • "This is my first time attending this B2B and it was very informational and exciting. Thank you for the invite!"
  • "Great event! This was my 1st time through and I really enjoyed it."
  • "It was a great experience and I'll be back."
Cost:  $15 per person for GFI members and $20 for non-members. Check and cash payment will be accepted at the door.

Registration: begins at 8 a.m. and the event starts promptly at 8:30. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance; substitutions allowed. rsvp@greaterfindlayinc.com.
