Mark your calendars!! Sending Forth Service for the Delegation to General Conference will be Sunday, April 15 at First UMC in Elmhurst at 232 S. York Rd. (note location changed).
There will be a question and answer panel discussion at 3:00 pm, Worship at 4:00 pm, and a reception following. Come surround the Delegation in prayers as they head to Tampa!!

Meeting on Health Care Changes for Retirees

Church & Society Grants

The NIC Board of Church and Society recently funded the several program grants. Click here for the list>>"It is always amazing to see the Holy Spirit working among us," said Rev. Dr. Bob Campbell, the chair of the board."We received some fine proposals for much-needed programs. These grants will make a big difference to many people."
Proposals for Church and Society grants are due at the end of each calendar year. Check the conference website under "Church and Society" for application forms.

Creativity and Divine Surprise Workshop
|
 More than two dozen participants took part in a hands-on creativity workshop last Saturday at the Log Cabin at Central UMC in Skokie. Artist, author, spiritual teacher and United Methodist Minister, Karla M. Kincannon was the guest presenter.

Aurora Cluster Fulfills Mission
|  Nineteen people - from six churches (Bethany of Fox Valley, Fourth Street and Wesley UMC of Aurora, Kaneville UMC, Sugar Grove UMC and Epworth UMC, Elgin) delivered 188 lbs of donations for health kits to the Midwest Distribution Center in Chatham IL on March 12. Read more>> |
