NIC Apportionments to be Paid in Full -Updated Church List
|
The Northern Illinois Conference Council on Finance and Administration (CCFA) will be paying 100% of the general church apportionments, some $2,068,878.
The ability to pay the general church apportionment in full is made possible by the faithful participation of the local churches of the Northern Illinois Conference - many of whom have made apportionment offerings of great sacrifice and after considerable effort. 15 additional churches were able to pay 100% of their local church apportionment in 2011 from 2010. Click here for the updated church list.

UMW Silent Vigil
|
Human trafficking is the second largest criminal industry in the world. On Monday, January 30, 2012, from noon until 1:00pm, the Northern Illinois Conference United Methodist Women will stand in silent vigil in support of those persons imprisoned by Human Trafficking. The vigil will take place at the Daley Center Plaza on Washington Street between Dearborn and Clark in Chicago.
Please bring your own signs and gather in front of the Picasso at 11:40am for instructions. We will gather at the Temple after the vigil for a closing service.
Illinois passed one of the strictest trafficking laws in 2005 and has passed updates which became law in 2010 and 2012. Join us on January 30th to raise awareness of what has become known as modern day slavery.
Please contact Social Action Coordinator
NIC United Methodist Women Jessie Cunningham at JessieHCunningham@gmail.com or 708-798-1274 for additional information.
