Accessibility Ministries has a new page on the Northern Illinois Conference website with a goal to help churches make their ministries accessible to all.
This will be an active resource for churches considering renovations, new structures and other building improvements.
This site will include information to assist in areas such as vision assistance, hearing assistance, wheelchair/power chair access, restroom facilities, ramp installation, signage, parking and many more.

The new taxpayer-funded facility would be run by the Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), a private-prison firm. According to a reporter at the Northwest Herald, one private prison was paid $95 per immigrant detainee per day by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (funded by taxpayer dollars), even though it costs the institution less than $55 per immigrant held.
