Bill to Abolish the Death Penalty PASSED!

Thank you to all of you who contacted your elected state representatives to ask them to abolish the death penalty in Illinois.  By underscoring the concerns we as United Methodists have expressed about the death penalty, you have helped to inform the debate.  You have helped to make history.  Many of you have given of your time, and so I ask you to make one more contact to end the death penalty in Illinois.  Call Governor Pat Quinn at 312-814-2121 and ask him to sign the law.
