Greetings!
 I have had a very eventful and exciting fall. My husband has come back from Iraq. For which the entire family is celebrating. With his return also comes changes in priorities and routine, so I have fallen a bit behind on keeping everyone in the know about my artwork. I believe all of you will forgive me for that and even celebrate a bit in your own way that our soldiers from the 161 FA are home safe.
A number of Holiday opportunities have opened up for me over the last few weeks. So it looks like I am not the only one running headlong into the holidays.
First on the calendar is the CASA Home for the Holidays Collective. It is running this weekend. run from November 21 - 23.
Then there is the "Mulvane Merriment" Slient auction for the Mulvane Art Museum. It is a one day event on December 5th and I hope you all will be able to check out this wonderful event.
The very next day, December 6th, I will be at my first event with the Lawrence Art Guild. "Holiday Art Fair" is an opportunity for artists to present their work for holiday shoppers and to help raise money for the Lawrence Art Guild at the same time.
At the Art Collective of Topeka, I will be participating in their "Annual Holiday Show" which will feature small works from the members. Perfect sizes for gift-giving. Opening Dec. 5th.
Finally for Holiday shows, there is the "Gates and Portals" with the Topeka Art Guild. Members will show off their own concepts of gates and portals to take us into the new year! Opening also Dec. 5th.
My solo show at the New City Cafe was a successful show and I recieve quite a few fun comments about my Celestial Correspondence series. It was the perfect venue for my yellow figures. I want to thank everyone for their kind comments and support of this series.
Also, the "Kansas Paint Kansas" art competition at the Topeka Art Guild was also a very successful show. All the events surrounded my husband's homecoming and I was unable to make it out to all of them. I missed seeing everyone. I hope you were able to attend and enjoyed the art work.
Please let me know if you have been out to see these events. Feedback is so fun to hear and is important to me.
Finally, I have completed my 2009 Holiday Calendar

CASA's 21st Annual Homes for the Holidays Collective

The CASA Collective will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday Novemeber 22 and Sunday November 23, 2008. It will also be open from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. the evening of Friday November 21 for the Preview Party.
The mission and purpose of CASA is to utilize volunteers to advocate for teh best interest of children and youth involved in the court system due to abuse and neglect. The purpose is to provide a voice for these children in an effort to have informed and expedient decisions made about their furtures.
By purchasing work at this festive weekend you will be helping abused and neglected children obtain a safe and entriched life!

"Merriment" will fill the Mulvane Art Museum on the Washburn campus Friday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
A silent auction, featuring works by 19 artists from 10 states, is exhibited in the Mulvane Store. Bids can be made in the store during regular museum hours. The auction will close at 8 p.m.on Dec. 5. Winning bidders will be notified by telephone if they are not present.
Box lunches will be sold between 11 a.m.and 1 p.m. Decorated holiday cookies and individual cinnamon rolls also will be sold throughout the day.
"Mulvane Merriment" is a benefit for the Mulvane Art Museum, sponsored by the Mulvane Women's Board. Call 272-5850 for additional information.
