| Greetings!
I have been busy, busy, busy with community art promotion and painting. Not to mention the beginning of the school year for my son. Whew! All of this work is in anticipation to several events happening soon. The end of September and the beginning of October promises to be a very busy couple of weeks.
To start with, I will be placing at least one new piece at the The Collective Art Gallery Which will have an opening on the First Friday of September (5th). I hope you can get into the Collective and view the fine work displayed there this month.
The pieces that are currently at the Topeka Art Guild will continue to hang until the end of September they change the membership show every other month, with the feature artist changing monthly.
Next, is the 2008 Aaron Douglas Art Fair on September 27th. I am sure you have gotten a few emails from me recently reguarding artist's entries. There has been a lot of buzz about this year's fair so I am hoping you will decide to attend. I look forward to seeing you there! If you'd like to know more about the fair information can be found at Topeka Turnaround Team .
Then to my delight, I have a one person show that will be opening October 1st at the New City Cafe. At this show I will be showcasing my new nudes. It is the perfect venue for these pieces as they complement the awsome atmosphere at the New City Cafe.
I will also be submitting artwork to the "Kansas Paint Kansas" art competition held by the Topeka Art Guild. Which opens October 3rd and will hang for 2 months. I will not know if my work is accepted until late September but I have confidence in the new pieces from my "Kansas Wildflower" series that I am submitting. I highly recommend scheduling time to go see this exhibit whether or not I get in.
I also wish to thank all of my friends who continue to share their interest and support in my artwork with their friends and family, please continue to spread the news. |
