| Paying It Forward in a Tough Economy
My husband and I were in line yesterday at a major retailer known for cool cotton attire. It was a pretty long line and we soon found out why. It appears that the store and other affiliates were offering a sale, giving a 30% discount to shoppers who had retrieved a coupon online. Not only that, a bad retail economy had reduced the staff to only two sales associates. One customer's kindness caused me to think about how to help others who might be struggling with a job search. |

LAST WORD!
D o Not Take A Holiday From Interviewing This Year! Many job seekers take a vacation from the job search, during the holidays for obvious reasons. Some people think that no one is hiring during the holidays and others just get overwhelmed with holiday activities.
If you are looking for work, do not make that mistake this year. Job seekers should know that employers are hiring all of the time if they have a need for workers. The job seeker who stays focused and continues to search throughout the holidays will probably have more success. Use the holidays to network and talk about your employment or career issues with friends and family! You never know where a new contact will lead. |
