Transforming Lives into His Reflection

Greetings!
The beginning of 2011 was filled with anticipation. I couldn't help but wonder, What does the Lord have in store for my family and RLM?
I asked God to show me a Focus Verse for the year... one that I could graft into every part of my life. He led me straight to 1 Peter 4:11...
"When you speak, let it be God's words. And when you serve let it be with the strength that God gives. So that in all things God will be glorified through Jesus Christ His son forever and ever. Amen." Little did I know God was preparing me for a year filled with amazing opportunities... events that changed my life forever! Not only did our third son, Tate, graduate from high school and leave for college, our second son, Jake, left in July to work in Singapore for six months. The dynamics of the McDougal household certainly changed. I found myself clinging to this verse.
This summer God allowed me to speak at the Haiti Women's Conference. I claimed this verse every moment of the trip. Then in November the Lord opened up the opportunity of a lifetime. A trip to Israel changed my whole perspective of the Bible. The last part of 1 Peter 4:11 that says, "Forever and ever" now has a whole new meaning!

What's new? Our minist ry gets asked that a lot because God is always giving Carla new ways to spread His message.
During the last year and a half many of you studied Reflecting Him - Living for Jesus and Loving It and watched the weekly episodes of the movie, An Invitation, written to go along with it. When the Video Teaching Series was produced this Fall you were able to see Carla teach about each week's lesson, and also see an episode from the movie. Trenda Shares her Experience
My name is Trenda Lynch and I recently joined Reflective Life Ministries as Ministry Consultant. This week I had the privilege of attending the women's holiday dinner at Champion Fellowship Church in Brenham, Texas.
Before the event, I reviewed the topic Carla was speaking on so I could pray more specifically for her and for the women attending. As I listened to Carla speak from her heart to approximately 100 women, I prayed God would use her words to meet the needs of those women. Following the event, I prayed silently for the women who came to Carla for prayer and encouragement, and for those who came to the book table for resources to take home.
What a privilege it was to see how God orchestrated all of the events of the evening to bring glory to Him! I praise God for the work He is doing in women's lives through RLM. I am thankful for the opportunity to pray and minister with the team as His name is proclaimed.
