Greetings!
Spring is in
the air! I feel it. Do you? The brisk morning breeze brings a sense of
freshness to my soul. As I looked out my back window recently, a variety of
green colors captured my attention. The live oaks are thick in the woods by our
house, and they keep their foliage year round.
Their rich green luster indicates maturity and stability. Sprinkled
throughout the woods is a lighter shade of green, represented by trees which
lost their leaves in winter, but which are now coming to life. I could almost
feel their tender, delicate growth. All of a sudden, I realized God was
teaching me another spiritual lesson. The forest is like the body of Christ.
The more mature trees provide protection for the seedlings and younger trees.
The younger trees bring freshness and nutrients to the older trees. God created
this dependency. Like the trees need each other, believers also need to depend
on each other. The more mature believer gives wisdom to the younger, while the
newer believer brings freshness to the older.
God has so
many life lessons for us to learn. Are we willing to be taught? Are our eyes
open to His daily life lessons? The new 10-week in-depth Bible study-Reflecting
Him-is all about this very concept! Each week's chapter teaches you to
look for God's daily life lessons in your every day experiences. To read an

Open Door Retreat
On January 14-15, 2011 RLM is hosting its second annual ladies'
retreat. This year's event was so
successful the attendees wanted to sign up for next year before they left the
retreat center! Planning is still in the early stages and subject to change,
but right now it looks like the theme will be The Friendship Tour, at Camp
Choy-Yeh, in Livingston,
TX.
If your church doesn't have enough women to have a retreat, sign
up your church for this one. You can
have your own small groups. If you just
want to come because you like our ministry and want to hear Carla, you are
welcome too. It's not too early to get
on the list. Contact Windy at

Count Down to Reflecting Him
June is almost here! Excitement is building as we move forward to
the release of Reflecting Him. We are
thrilled to share with you some summer projects we are working on to make
Reflecting Him a "one of a Kind" Bible study. -
Robin Murray, RLM's playwright,
is creating a 10 episode drama that we will video this summer. Each week when
your group meets, you will watch this play unfold. The story line is powerful
and engaging, and it enhances the lessons for the week. Can you image watching the
change in these five characters, as they start Reflecting Him in their lives?
-
Reflecting Him now has a theme song! In fact, singer-song writer Cindy Vinson (my sister) wrote eight
songs, ten years ago, and didn't share them with anyone. Only God knew His use for them! You will not believe
how perfectly they fit! She graciously donated the songs to the study, and is
recording them this summer. The CD will be available for purchase on ITunes or
in hardcopy, and we are using these songs in the video each week. What an
enhancement to Reflecting Him!
-
Kitty Self, RLM
editor, is writing a Leadership Training Manual to be available in August. These
weekly summaries and focus questions will help facilitators lead the groups.
-
Author of Reflecting Him,
Carla McDougal, is teaching live in
the fall! Come join us on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 at Faith Bible Church
starting Sept. 14. There are smaller groups and home studies joining us for the
ten weeks too. You can contact Kitty@reflectivelifeministries.org if you are
interested. Look for more information in the near future or on the website at www.reflectivelifeministries.org.
RLM is grateful for the amazing women who serve in this ministry
together. Their love for Jesus and desire to serve Him illuminates everything
they do. It is so much fun to watch the body of Christ come together to serve
Him!

Calling All Prayer Partners
Why does God call us to pray? Does He really seek willing hearts
to stand in the gap for others? With excitement we say, "Yes!" God does give us a heart to pray for others.
In fact, Reflective Live Ministries would not be where it is today without our
dedicated prayer team. In the past five
years, even more of you have expressed an interest in praying for RLM. If you
are interested in joining the prayer team and would like to receive regular
email prayer updates for RLM, please contact Carla at carla@reflectivelifeministries.org. "After they prayed, the place where they were
meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the
word of God boldly." Act 4:31
