Focus Word
"Joy"
How would the world define joy? More than likely they would say happiness, or finding career success, or fulfilling a lifelong dream. This is not God's definition of joy. The Greek definition for joy is "rejoicing, gladness, enjoyment, bliss, in many ways to celebrate." Happiness is based on a feeling which changes according to your moods and circumstances. Joy is a choice!! We are going to have fun all month long with this word!!
"These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full." John 15:11

God has been in the process of revealing to Carla His desire for her to write a Bible study. We would love for you to pray with us that she would both hear clearly from the Lord and that He would give her each and every word! We will keep you posted on the progress.
We've mentioned our promotional video in past "Reflecting Him" issues. We are currently working to finish all the video footage and then we are off to the production studio to make it happen. We COULD NOT and WOULD NOT be able to do this without our dear friend Evelyn Hicks.

 'Remote Control' Gridlock
Have you ever had the experience of using a DVR to record one of your favorite television programs? This allows you the flexibility to view the shows at a more convenient time. The scenario might go like this: armed with the remote control in hand you have an expectation of sitting in the quiet of your living room with a hot glass of tea, fresh popcorn, snuggled under a blanket in your favorite chair. There is an excitement brewing as you anticipate relaxing while fast forwarding through the time consuming commercials. But, all of the sudden a problem occurs with the remote control; the fast forward button won't work! After much frustration, you push the pause button and stillness instantly appears on the face of the screen. With a sigh of relief, you press fast forward again but now the gadget won't respond to any of the commands; why is this happening, who's responsible for breaking the remote control?
Ever feel like your life in on pause and there is nothing you can do about it? Why does God allow these times in our lives? How are you to respond to discouraging circumstances that you would rather fast forward to the next scene in your life? Come join us as we look at these compelling issues through the lives of Sarah and Rachel. It could be that all the Remote Control needed were for the batteriesto be re-charged!

 The start of 2008 has been exciting for RLM! Carla had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful Christian sisters at the Kingwood UMC Retreat, Parkway Baptist College Station Retreat, St. Thomas Mom's Retreat, FBC Georgetown Retreat, and Cypress Bible MOPS. God has blessed us with these and other opportunities to share our passion for Jesus. Our prayer team and staff continue to pray for the Lord to puzzle us with the women He desires for His purposes to be accomplished! Don't forget to checkout the website and click on News & Updates. |

2008 Women's Ministry Share Fair
"How Does Your Garden Grow?"
The excitement is building as we gear up for the Second Annual Women's Ministry Share Fair. This is a place designed to encourage, enrich, and enlighten women's ministry teams as they serve the Lord together. The day will consist of Praise and Worship, 4 lecture based practical sessions followed by round table discussions. The Share Tables will be filled with women's ministry ideas, retreat sites, available speakers in the area, Bible Studies, books, worship leaders in the area, mission opportunities, and much more. Come join us for a day you will not want to miss!
