Carla's Corner
This summer has been such a blessing! In fact, it was the best summer EVER for my family. The kids have reached the age where they truly are each other's best friend. I recall summers when all they did was fight and argue. Now they are constantly sharing their love and appreciation for one another. That is answered prayer for a mother! If you are reading this and thinking that this will never happen in your family, trust God is at work. Keep praying and believing He is accomplishing mighty things in your children's lives. AMEN! |

New Look for RLM
 This has been a busy summer for RLM. With the direction of Evelyn Hicks, owner of Going Beyond the Obvious, we have begun the very fun process of establishing our ministry in an "official" sort of way. We have a new logo; well, really, this is our first logo. We are thrilled about the image and how it represents this ministry God has called us to. We have also created our purpose and mission statement to help us focus our efforts as we seek to serve our King. For those who have served in ministry, you understand how you can often be derailed in your kingdom work. We have prayed for over a year that the Lord would protect us and His ministry from loosing His focus. We believe that God brought us together with Evelyn (who, by the way, goes to our church) to answer that very prayer!
Our purpose is to connect women by sharing the truth and message of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to connect women to the truth and message of Jesus Christ by praying, speaking, encouraging, and loving women of all ages around the world.
And there is more to come. Keep an eye on the website...we will be launching the new ReflectiveLifeMinistries.com this fall!

Share Fair 2009 - Women in Ministry
 The Share Fair has become a treasured part of our ministry. God has brought us together with the most amazing women. We continue to pray for the churches and ministries that attended Share Fair 2008 this past May. It was such a sweet time of encouragement and learning from one another. As we head into our third year, we are making some big changes. The first is our location. This year, we are blessed to be partnering with Dian Cotton and her women's ministry team at Stonebridge Church, here in The Woodlands. They have graciously agreed to host Share Fair 2009. We are delighted to have the opportunity to use their fabulous facilities and to be working with Dian and her team. The second big change is the date. For the past two years, Share Fair took place in May. While we have been thrilled with the turnout, we feel God has asked us to move Share Fair to earlier in the year. We hope that this will work for you and your team. The new date is Saturday, February 7th, 2009. The final change is the programming. While we can't announce all that is in the works, we can share that we are working on making this year's Share Fair more interactive. As we finalize details, be assured, you will be the first to know. Please pray with us as we follow God's lead to ensure that we are perfectly in line with His will for Share Fair. |

A New Project
Over a year ago, the Lord began to call Carla to write a Bible study. After much prayer and affirmation from the Lord and other believers, she began work on the study this summer. She has enjoyed her many tender moments with the Lord as she progresses through the unchartered waters of writing. Our prayer is that the study will be available in the Summer of 2009. Please pray with us that God would move us in the direction that He has prepared, that we would see clearly the direction He has laid before us and that He would be the one honored at the finish line. You all will be the first to know when the study becomes available. We can't wait to share it with you! |
