Calling Care Callers!
No hassle, no pressure, no psychology degree needed...just a quarterly "check in" with several folks in the MVUUF Fellowship. That is what we ask. Who is a carecaller? It is a person who makes a friendly call, e-mails, drops a note, or even shares a cup of coffee at the Fellowship to strengthen interpersonal connections. What a carecaller is not: He/She is not a psychologist or therapist, just another member who cares enough to touch base to exchange pleasantries. Sylvia Wince will be calling you to ask you to be a carecaller. Or you can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
or see her at Sunday services. Please say "yes" to her request that you be a "Carecaller" for several UUs. Offering for June
The Social Concerns Committee invites plate offerings for Equality Ohio. Equality Ohio advocates for fair treatment and equal opportunities for Ohio's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender citizens. It does so by collaborating with local, regional, statewide, and national organizations and government agencies. Most recently, Equality Ohio sponsored its fourth annual Lobby Day, in which people from all over Ohio (including eight members of MVUUF) met with legislators to advocate for full equality in antidiscrimination legislation covering housing and employment. For more information, please visit Equality Ohio Dayton Pride Parade 2009
