Comments from members included:

"Thanks to every candidate for your thoughtful statements."

"Great work! You are appreciated!"

"For the first time since I entered into the training program as an actor at A.R.T. in 1992, I feel something like a community of fellow artists emerging that I belong to. Thank you for that!"

Voter turnout was an incredible 70%! It is obvious that our Association is alive and well and that our members are inspired to help it grow. Thank you all for your support, and thank you to the candidates for running. Best of luck to the new board! Daniel Passer (93) in Le Reve, Wynn, Las Vegas; photo: Tomasz Ros

Alumni News and Spotlight from Dan Domingues (03)

If you've been to the A.R.T. Alumni News Page lately -- and I hope you have, you just may be surprised by what you read -- you may have noticed the Alumni Spotlight.  Here's how it works.  I e-mail an A.R.T. alumnus, beg them to encapsulate their life and career since graduation into a few paragraphs, ask them to send a recent photo and BAM, you have yourself an Alumni Spotlight.  Easy-Squeezy.  No Big Deal.  Takes almost no time at all.  But what it gives back is, as American Express likes tells us, priceless.
As a struggling artist, I am constantly coming up with reasons to quit the business, to pack it all in, to admit the system's beat me.  Compiling Alumni News and the Spotlight helps me to stay on the path.  It shows me that as hard as the journey is there are so many of us on it making a difference.
So check out the latest Alumni Spotlight (www.amrep.org/iatt/alumni/olson.html) on 1998 Directing grad Todd Olson who happens to run a successful regional theatre in Florida while being happily married and raising three children!  Others will follow in the coming months and years.  I don't really have a system.  If you're out there acting, writing, teaching, directing or even raising chinchillas I'll find you eventually and spotlight you.  It's important to me.  It's important to all of us.
