This is Ed, don't let him get bored, confused, scared.  Keep him informed, excited, and anticipating what's next!  Do that and he'll stay a Mason for the rest of his life!

The Ed Initiative Launches Today!

We've been working diligently to create a program that puts the member first.  The new member, the candidate, the EA, FC and the newly raised Master Mason.  The Ed program will provide support, ideas and programs, events and materials to do everything we can to make sure that our members needs are met, that we're delivering everything we can with excellence and we put our members first and foremost in everything we do.

One of, if not the most important components of this program is the Mentor.  Our Masonic Mentors will teach, build relationships, direct and guide our candidates and members in all areas of the fraternity.  In order for our new candidates and members to feel like they really are part of the group, they need someone they can depend on to be there for them.  That is what a Mentor does.  He teaches, helps, introduces, and builds relationships.  And that is what we need more of.  If you are interested in learning more, and to be considered for this extremely important opportunity, click on the appropriate link below.  Your life will never be the same!

You must register on the Grand Lodge website to sign up for the mentoring program.  You will need your current dues card to finalize the registration process.

Why should I Mentor?

In our preparation for the launch of our member retention program (known as the Ed Initiative) we were greatly concerned about the lack of teaching and fellowship that our new candidates and members have been receiving.  Now, we know there are some lodges that are doing a great job, in making sure the new candidate finishes the joining process, and making sure they are provided with great opportunities for personal growth and fellowship.

There are also, unfortunately too many lodges where the opposite is just as true.  In those lodges most especially every new candidate, petitioner needs to know that the lodge cares about them and their progress.  The mentor will be the personal symbol of the lodge.  He will be the manifestation of our belief that every man who comes to our door is entitled to become a better man.

The time is now to step forward and make sure that this "better man" becomes a reality.

So take the first step toward a better Masonic experience, become a Mentor.  Interested?
