The Grand Lodge of Michigan
Week of August 29, 2011
Bob C Photo Greetings!

What a great weekend!  I had great fun with my Lodge Family from Three Oaks Lodge 239 at their Scholarship Golf Outing.  Thanks to Don Baugher, Brad Dlohuy and Chip Shimer for lots of fun and good laughs!  And special thanks to Darryl, Al and their ladies, and Tommy and Chris for their support work, it was a great outing.  Later in the day, it was a great time at the Berrien Springs (Western Star Lodge 39) Summer Picnic!  Thanks for all the fellowship, it was great to get back home again!

The Grand Lodge officers are planning a Lodge Management and Leadership Training program in Romulus at the Embassy Suites on October 8th, 2011.  For more information click here:

This week most of Michigan Masonry's Leadership will be in Chicago at the Scottish Rite Supreme Council.  I'm very proud of the leadership that Michigan provides to the Supreme Council, and while I can't be with them physically I am with them in spirit.  To all of the honorees, that will be coroneted 33rd Degree Masons on August 30th, congratulations.  It is an honor well deserved.  Here are the honorees for 2011- From the Valley of Detroit, Ronald Bethune and Justin Krasnoff - From the Valley of Bay City, Harold Riggie and Eugene Peetz - From the Valley of Marquette, Jacob Hayrynen Jr. - From the Valley of Grand Rapids, F. Ted Praria, Richard Burrows, Jeffrey Keehn - and From the Valley of Traverse City, Kenneth Cooper and James Larson.  Congratulations to all, and have a wonderful time.

There will be lots of new stuff in and exciting activities in September so stay tuned.

Drive safely, schools starting up again!  So is Lodge!

Have a great week!
