Farewell from Kym
When I first started working at HHA, I was coming from a very different work environment. I had been managing a very busy outfitter, where I worked really long days, wearing too many hats, running myself ragged, and overall feeling extremely under-appreciated. When I started at HHA, I not only felt warmly welcomed and more appreciated in my first month, than I had felt in a year; I was also inspired by everyone's commitment to a larger vision- to catalyze healthy lifestyles.
Being a part of HHA has truly evolved my perspective on health. I have always been really into healthy living, but acupuncture and massage as part of your regular wellness plan?! I have to admit I was a skeptic at first. Does that stuff really work? I went from being a skeptic to a believer overnight. Acupuncture can be a lot like going to your "regular" doctor, and massage is not just your spa experience. I now feel better equipped to take care of myself, make my health a priority, and do it all from a preventative approach.
Now almost 2 years later, I am torn to leave but know it is time to take on a
new venture. June 1st, I will be joining Architectural Ceramics in Rockville Maryland, as their Product Assistant Manager. There I hope to evolve into a position where I can put more of my creativity to use, and become a Design Consultant, helping people turn rooms into aesthetic spatial masterpieces. :)
As I prepare my farewell, I acknowledge that I am a deep feeler and thinker, and that leaving HHA is going to be hard for me. I love being here. I love being a part of this greater purpose. I love my job, every part of it. And I have loved getting to know you, chatting with you, and sharing this place with you.
A good friend and former co worker once said, "HHA is a wonderful place where healing not only happens but where people, including me, become whole" I can't think of a better way to say how much I love this place and I am honored to have been a part of it.
To Denise and Ryan (and the whole team), thank you for making my job so delightful, and for creating an environment and a team that I am grateful to have been a part of.

HHA's Skin Care Transition
 HHA wishes an enthusiastic congratulations to
Theresa Saah Thompson as she takes on a new venture and relocates to Structures Salon and Spa at 30 South Market St, Frederick MD.  Theresa started with HHA in the fall of 2009 and has been a very talented and part of our team. She has been practicing skincare for over 19 years and enjoys all aspects of the esthetic services she provides! What does Theresa like most about her work, you ask? She enjoys educating clients about skincare and creating the best brows for your eyes! Unfortunately HHA will begin to phase out the skin care program and we regret to see Theresa go. However she will be a short trip downtown where she will continue to provide her expertise at Structures Salon. |

| Spring is the time of transition and we are proud to have so many of our team transitioning into promotions or starting their own businesses. From the HHA mission statement: Our goal is to simultaneously hold a space for those in need of healing while encouraging them to grow and develop so they can take educated and effective action to lead healthy, productive, enriched lives, realizing their potential to effect life in a positive way.
This does not only go for our patients, but for our staff and practitioners as well. A hearty congratulations and sad farewell to Kym, Theresa, Kecia and Rob on their new ventures. You will always be a part of the HHA team.
