DETOX!

bellyDetoxification through special cleansing diets and colonics is the best way to assist your body's natural self-cleaning system. It is especially important for immune-compromised diseases like cancer, arthritis, diabetes and chronic fatigue. However, even if your diet is good, a spring cleanse can revitalize your system and rid your body of harmful bacteria, viruses and parasites. It is a simple three step process. Q & A with Ryan...

I have tried to detox in the past (master cleanse, fruits & veggies only, etc) but it's just too hard for me to give up coffee, I got headaches and lost 'steam' if you will. What are some ways I can detox (clean out my gut!) at home without over complicating my life? For Ryan's answer click here...Q & A!
A Message From The Green Guru...

cleanApril represents so many Spring things for us doesnt it? As you're preparing to spring clean, keep these few tips in mind and do your part to help sustain the environment.

Cleaning products:

1) Do the research and use products that are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency by looking for the "Design for the Environment" (DFE) logo.

2) Use Seventh Generation products. Seventh Generation does not carry the seal because they claim to far exceed the government's standards, and SG is actively seeking higher standards! OR

3) Stick to the GREAT simple basics of lemon, white vinegar, and baking soda! To hear more tips from Kym click here..Green Guru!

Farewell from Claire...

When I first started working at HHA, I was a skeptic (and actually said to Ryan--does this crap really work?). I only planned on being here for a 'few weeks,' HA! It will be four years this month that I have been here; and what an education I have received.  A quick convert, I now wholeheartedly believe, that Chinese Medicine, and the concept of holistic medicine is the way to approach life. I am now heading to University of Maryland for my Masters in Social Work which emphasizes looking at a person in their whole environment, in order to help them (much like HHA's approach). I am not a super 'mushy' person, but leaving Holistic Health is tough for me. I simply love it here. Being a part of your lives and the HHA family has changed my perspective on health and happiness. I have so enjoyed getting to know so many of you that have come in; chatting with you, seeing you at our events, getting to know your families, and seeing you in town! It has been a true honor to get to know you personally. I am grateful. I will miss everyone at HHA. It is a wonderful place where healing not only happens but where people, including me, become whole. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey for the past four years, and thank you to Denise and Ryan (and the whole team) for creating what will always be, a second home, for me.

Have a wonderful Spring! Warmly, Claire.
