ICIS Welcomes a New Team Member

It is our pleasure to announce that Mike Wardell has joined the ICIS team on March 1, 2010 as System Engineer.  Mike will be working on the AddressBC project, bringing his extensive expertise to this important ICIS initiative.

Mike, with over 20 years of experience in IM/IT, has worked extensively on spatial system design, data management, and database administration.

Having spent many years working on system development projects for the Province of BC's Crown Land Registry Services and the Office of the Surveyor General, Mike gained considerable experience in the areas of cadastral information system design and data management. This experience allowed him to take on a leading role in the development and implementation of the Province's Land and Resource Data Warehouse (LRDW).

As the Head of Information Management Branch's Database Administration and Data Administration Sections, Mike was a valued team member in many system development projects within the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands.

In 2008, Mike joined ESRI Canada as a senior consultant where his technical expertise was utilized in deploying ESRI's ArcSDE/Geodatabase and ArcGIS Server web tier for a variety of clients.
