ICIS Welcomes Newest Members
Membership for 2010 is off to a positive and productive start. With a total of 209 Data Sharing and Licensing Agreements (DSLA's) signed to date, we are proud to announce our 5 newest members: the Town of Comox, The District of West Kelowna, Tlowitsis Nation Treaty, Simpcw First Nation , and the Okanagan Indian Band. We have also formally accepted Tyron Land Surveying Ltd. as an Associate Member.
As the year carries on, we continue to work on expanding membership in all membership classes. One way we are accomplishing this is through scheduling workshops and conferences for new and potential members. We encourage everyone to participate in these events because they teach organizations about the value of membership as well as showcase our BCSpatial and AddressBC products. In addition, we are working with several Federal Government entities. Currently, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Department of National Defence (DND), and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) are members of ICIS. Many other Federal Departments have contacted us this year, expressing a high level of interest in membership.
The success of ICIS is based on the trust and collaboration of its members. We wish to thank all of our members for their ongoing commitment and support.
