This one day session is designed for those members who have completed the 'Basic' course some time ago and would like to refresh their skills prior to beginning Therapy 1.

| Vodder Basic - April 19 to 23 |
This is the first segment of four classes.
This is a prerequisite for Therapy I.
This is an intensive course involving extensive hands-on work. The basic strokes and their application to each body part are taught. The theory covers anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, connective tissue, effects of MLD and contraindications. Lymphedemas are described with an emphasis on how Manual Lymph Drainage can affect them.
Class time: 40 hrs (Practical 32 hrs, Theory 8 hrs)

| Vodder Therapy 1 - April 26 to 30 |
This is the second segment of the four classes.
You must take Basic before taking Therapy I and Therapy I is a prerequisite for Therapy II & III.
The practical sessions of this course include special techniques for the joints, the head (including intra-oral) and abdomen. They introduce the student to therapeutic applications. A review of all Basic techniques and sequences is given. In the theory sessions, advanced theory and current research is discussed as well as a review of Basic theory. An oral, written and practical exam is given to test the student's competence in Basic techniques and theory.
Class time: 40 hrs (Practical 32 hrs, Theory 8 hrs)

Linda (Koby) Blanchfield, RMT, RMT, CLT-LANA |

Linda (Koby) Blanchfield graduated in 1990 from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, 2400 hours program and has maintained a private practice since then. She completed the Dr. Vodder training in Austria in 1992. Koby became a basic Instructor with the Dr. Vodder School in 1995, Therapy I Instructor in 2000 and in 2004 she completed the certification training for teaching Advanced Esthetician Neck and Face, and Advanced Body/Spa levels.
In 2002, Koby became certified through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA). She has taught classes in Australia, Ireland, Japan and throughout North America (including Stanford University Hospital and the Ottawa General Hospital). She has presented at a World Conference on Breast Cancer, the Canadian Association of Wound Care and several other conferences in Canada and the USA.
Koby has presented these courses in Winnipeg previously receiving high evaluation ratings from those RMT's attending the course.
