October 26, 2011
Greetings to our Parrish Books friends and customers,
Welcome to our latest newsletter! It has been a little while since we have written to you. Sorry for the delay but company, auctions and everything keeps us busy. In September we were in Reno, Nevada to attend the Reno National Championship Air Races which suffered that tragic crash on Friday September 16 killing 10 and injuring many more. Fortunately we were scheduled to attend the Races the next day so we were not at the airport when the crash happened, but we are still shivering a bit from being so close...
Fall is here again and thoughts turn to Halloween, Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. The books we have chosen for our newsletter show you some of the latest arrivals at Parrish Books along with some of our most popular books suitable for all that is coming as we head towards winter. Each picture is a link to the item on our website, so just click on the pictures or the links below them for more information.
This month we are featuring a special collection of 20 signed Maurice Sendak books that we are making available to our Newsletter subscribers at a very special price. We call it our Sendak Newsletter Collection. Our price, good for a limited time only, is 40% off the individual listed prices! See the coupon at the end of the newsletter.
As you may remember, we visited Maurice Sendak at his home in Connecticut on February 1, 2004 and brought home over 300 signed books & posters. So you have a unique opportunity to begin or add to your existing collection at a very reasonable price. The Newsletter Collection would also make a wonderful gift for a child or grandchild for Christmas to get them started in collecting books that will only gain value over time! We have only 4 of these sets available so call us or order on the website right away if you are interested!
As always, we offer free Priority Mail shipping for all U.S. orders and only $35 international shipping per order (regardless of the number of books in the order). See more shipping details below.
We welcome questions, always, and we love talking to our customers!.
