Student Group Receives Environmental Grant
The Student Environmental Awareness Society (SEAS) received a grant from the Tampa Bay Estuary Program to install a second watergoat in Bayboro Harbor.

The student group already maintains one watergoat, a flotation device designed to accumulate trash and debris before it flows into Tampa Bay. Students use kayaks to collect trash from the watergoat.

Since the summer of 2009, students have collected at least 2,250 pounds of trash. The second watergoat will allow for clean up by kayak and by foot along the harbor shore.
