"Indulgences Gallery" had a great space at the 2008 West Coast Art & Framing show, which was held once again at the Hilton Convention Centre in Las Vegas. The location was double in size over last year and I was very privileged to be their "Featured Artist" for the three days of the trade show. Indulgences Gallery (headed by Wasif Khan and David Kornelsen) was able to make some meaningful connections with other industry players and most importantly, establish new relationships and cement existing ones. For two out of the three days, I painted on site which was great experience. The interaction I had with passers by lead to interest in my work and also, inspired me to think and create "out of the box". What ensued were two great new pieces "Dusk" and "Jump". "Dusk" was in turn acquired by Wiessmann Gallery of Chicago and the other "Jump" was acquired by Cherri Emery of Gallery 344 in Kalamazoo Michigan. Also, while there, I created some fun, spontaneous little mini 3x3 paintings that work well as corporate gifts and or a way to start ones art collection. |
