Nashville seems like a blur but a successful one - I
landed in Nashville Friday
February 9th at 10:07am (we were on time and my art
made it down in one piece!).
After touring the suburbs, we finally made it to the art event to help Ron & Lynn King of Lyzon Gallery set up. I (sponsored by Lyzon) was amongst 40 other artists - the only Canadian. It was a wonderful 3 day event and I received some great accolades about my work. The ongoing thread to the event was how my work reminded the viewers of New Orleans. Nashville is a must visit. It is very friendly - a big city with small town feel. Can't wait till I have the oppurtunity to go back and spend a little more time there.

The world's most talked about city right now is....
Beijing with being the host city of the 2008 Olympics. Why is this of interest? Well, this month I am proud to be part of a group show of Canadian artists held in Beijing from March 21- 25,2007. It will be held, in partnership with Klimantiris Gallery, at Gallery 3818 Cool. Address: 3818 Warehouse, 2 Jiuxianqiao Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100015, P.R. China. Present and attending the gala opening of this show will be members of the Canadian Consulate and journalists from BBC NEWS World Asia-Pacific. I am very excited as this will be the first time some of my works can be viewed outside of North America. |

"See you on the outside!"
The Newest Episode 12 “Outside the Artist Studio” is
up and ready
(website behind the podcast:

we discuss is....
If you don't have some sort of agent who can focus on all the fundamentals of advertising, marketing, relationships with galleries and dealers, mailing lists, etc. It really does help. People don't negotiate as hard and they respect the prices you give them when it's not you giving them. How it really does help to have a rep, or even a second voice to close the deals. |
