November Recap...
  Kalamazoo to Chicago Gallery 344
The City of Kalamazoo is home to a wide variety of artistic and cultural venues and events. Ones who live here love to be entertained in Kzoo (nickname of Kalamazoo by those who live their) from Cocktails, Art-Hops to world-class Broadway shows at the Miller Auditorium. This city has it all.

Friday, November 3rd, 2006 was the Artist Reception - Art Hop at Gallery 344 (344 N. Rose Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan).

The picture is of Sherry (owner of Gallery 344) with myself at the Opening Gala Reception of the "Peferct Pear Gallery" in Chicago. I wasn't able to go down to Kalamazoo.

Gala Night
  Anita news
After much hard work by Anita Jerman assisted by her friends, family and staff, Perfect Pear Gallery opened its door to the public Friday November 17, 2006 with a Gala evening that I was very privileged to be one of the artist featured.

After over 750 invitees and guests walked through the door the staff stopped counting - it was a great success! All evening I meet amazing people - one in particular, another artist present by the name of Joe Brown, you should look up his work.
This was my first time in Chicago and it was a great experience. The ones whom I had the privilege to speak with were very interesting, friendly and very encouraging.
If you and or anyone you know is in Chicago make sure you go and check out the friendly and knowledgeable staff and owner and of course all the great works at Perfect Pear (712 N State Street) 3 blocks from N Michigan (right on the CTA red- line).

The picture is of Anita Jerman and Myself - Gala night.

While I was in Chicago I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel on Monroe Street - its a true historical landmark. And what a ceiling in the main lobby/bar.

The Palmer House was built by wealthy entrepreneur Potter Palmer, opening Sept. 26, 1871. It burned to the ground just 13 days later in the Great Chicago fire. Pal mer built anew hotel across the street from the former building and opened it in July 1873. It was the first hotel to be equipped with electric lights and telephones in each room and elevator service.
