I love the first day of classes! I get to speak to the students about the strategicness of missions... Evangelism is raising up the church, where the church is. Missions is raising up the church, where the church is not yet established or just beginning to take root.
All people are equally lost, but not all people are equally needy! It really comes down to the accessibility of the Gospel around the world.
The church of Jesus Christ has perhaps completed 60-70 percent of world evangelization, but missionaries have largely been sent to the "easy places". If we are going to finish the Great Commission and be strategic about it, we need to send workers to the difficult places,where there is virtually no Gospel witness.
We thank God for open doors for Mexicans and Latinos in general serving in very difficult situations around the world.
We are committed to prepare, send, support and give pastoral care to our Latino missionaries ministering among the world's least-reached.

Greetings!
New year's greetings from Mexico City!
We enjoyed having Jonathan home for a month over Christmas break from Christ for the Nations Dallas, as well as an unexpected and enjoyable week long visit from Kerry's parents.
Classes began this weekend at CNM (Christ for the Nations Mexico). Kerry teaches Introduction to Missions in the Bible school and a number of classes at the Mission school. Jan will be teaching and mentoring missions students who need to learn and improve their English, as well as continue with her weekly Bible studies.
With handing over the leadership of CNM last year, Kerry is now able to dedicate the majority of his time to his responsibility as missions pastor, which involves lots of teaching and traveling. The first three months of this year he will be traveling half of the time. We will take advantage of some airline miles in February, so that Jan can accompany him to Europe to visit workers there.
Please pray for safety and wisdom on these trips, as we not only visit our missionaries, but investigate new ministry opportunities for future workers.

MEXICO CITY: A CITY LIKE NO OTHER!

To comprehend Mexico you have to understand the city that gave the country its name. The former Tenochtitlan, capital of the Aztec empire, is situated in a basin incorrectly referred to as a valley) whose human habitation goes back at least 1,400 years.
The Aztecs settled on the site where they found an eagle in combat with a snake on a cactus, an image represented in the middle of Mexico's green, white and red flag. Prayer Requests

1. Please continue for Joshua who recovering from a second operation on his wrist back in October.
2. For a heavy traveling schedule the next few months.
3. For two of our Mexican interns struggling with health issues. Ana Lilia with a back injury in India and Quetza in Equatorial Guinea, Africa who has had health issues related to malaria and numerous bouts with thyphoid fever.
4. Pray for our 40 Mexican missionaries serving world-wide in difficult places, as well as those preparing to be sent out.
5. For additional monthly financial support which has gone down considerably this past year.
