2009 MINISTRY IN REVIEW
Mexico City, Mexico

Greetings!

As 2009 comes to a close, the year in many ways seems to have been a blur! Kerry's travels took him to Europe, Africa, Asia, as well as to Central and South America twice.

Together we had the privilege of visiting and ministering to our workers in Europe and North Africa, as well as two ministry trips together to Oaxaca and Veracruz here in Mexico. We also traveled together to the exotic regions of North America, namely Minneapolis, Minnesota and Bismarck, North Dakota!

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 uses 4 important verbs; "Go, Make disciples, Baptize and Teach all things that I have commanded you." The imperative verb is found in making disciples. As missionaries, we go, baptize and teach, but if the end result is not a disciple that makes other disciples, we are not fulfilling the command Jesus gave us. We are so thankful for the Mexican disciples we have serving around the world. They truly are some of the best and heroes to us!

2009 MINISTRY YEAR IN REVIEW...
CNM-groupCNM-Study

CNM BIBLE SCHOOLS
We  have seen significant growth of CNM (Christ for the Nations Mexico Bible Institute) this year. Both the evening and Saturday schools are at capacity. Praise the Lord!  Next month we will inaugurate 3 new schools; two additional schools here in Mexico in Merida, Yucatan, as well as in Ecatepec (located in the northern end of Mexico City with over 6 million residents!) The third school begins in Quito, Ecuador. At present we have close to 100 new students signed up in each of these locations!

In March of 2010 we open another campus in Cordoba, Argentina. The key to starting these new schools is having the right director and staff in place, as well as keeping the costs as low as possible. None of the teachers in these locations receive a salary and count it an honor investing in the students. Please pray for the ministry of CNM in Mexico and South America, as there is an urgent need for practical Bible teaching with an emphasis on knowing God and service to others.

At CNM we provide multiple opportunities to serve. In fact, it's a requirement at the school. It's  exciting  to  see the  students catch a vision to reach out to others. One 18-year old student who recently returned from a long weekend evangelistic outreach which ministered to the Mazateco Indians on a remote island in the southern state of Oaxaca, commented that, "This is what I want to do for the rest of my life!"

AMISTAD CRISTIANA MISSIONS (SHORT TERM TEAMS)
This year we sent 15 evangelistic teams to 9 different locations throughout Mexico, as well as  3 international medical / evangelism  teams to the Amazon region in Colombia and Peru. Also this year, a team was sent to Panama and the second medical brigade to Northern Africa.

Over 400 people made decisions for the Lord during the outreaches and well over 2,000 received medical treatment.

AMISTAD CRISTIANA MISSIONS (FULL TIME MISSIONARIES)
We currently have 25 missionaries serving world-wide on a permanent basis and will see several more sent out the first few months of 2010. Most are going to some of the most difficult places in the world, consequently we are unable to give many details on where they are ministering and the spiritual fruit they are experiencing.

Our responsibilities as missions pastors continues to grow. We have become much more involved in counseling and pastoral care both here at home and abroad. Jan has assisted several of our candidates this past year perfecting  their English in preparation to serve around the world, as well as being involved with CNM and woman's ministries.

Please pray for us as we are in growth modes in both the Bible institutes, as well as in the missions program.

As our 2010 calendar fills up rapidly, we are full of faith and expectancy at what God will do in 2010.

Thank you for your prayers and financial support. Together we can make a difference in the world!

For His glory!,
