LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF GOD'S HAPPINESS! |
|
As
Americans, very few would argue that everyone does not have the right to life,
liberty and the pursuit of happiness. After all these are part of the
"inalienable rights" of man according to the United States' Declaration of
Independence. But as Christians do we really have a right to life, liberty and
the pursuit of personal happiness? What really is life? What really is liberty? And
what really is the pursuit of personal happiness? The Bible obviously has much to
say about what life and liberty truly are, but also has much to say about both man's and God's happiness. I believe that the Word teaches us that His happiness, well-being and
will and much more important than our own personal, more often that not selfish
drive or frantic pursuit for personal happiness.
The famous phrase "Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" is based on the original writings
of Englishman John Locke, stating
that "man has the right to life, liberty and property." For poetic reasons it
was adapted as life, liberty and the "pursuit of happiness" which better fits
modern man's humanistic desire to be prosperous or happy, as opposed to the time
period in which the original phrase was penned in the pursuit of property
rights...

Greetings!
Greetings from Mexico City! It's not about us, our assets, abilities or know how. In the Bible, I Corinthians 3:7 states that "so then neither he who plants
is anything, nor he who waters, but it is God who gives the increase."
In reading this passage it clearly places the emphasis on the fact that it is God who gives the increase, but it also says that we need to plant and water. As we have
planted and watered recently, we are amazed at how much God is giving the
"increase"... We now have 25 full-time missionaries, Christ for
the Nations Mexico Bible Institute continues to grow both here in Mexico and now
abroad, with plans to begin three new schools in Mexico and South America.
In a year of financial crisis around the world, we are seeing God's provision and direction like never before. We also appreciate your prayers as we take concrete steps to purchase our home here in Mexico City. We are thankful that the price has dropped 50% over the past year! |

DISCIPLES MAKING DISCIPLES!
|
In May we had the opportunity to visit our workers in France, Spain and Northern Africa.
We were blessed to see how the work has grown in one location where we have a single gal ministering to special needs (handicapped) children of the largest people group in a very needy nation. Over the past year she has seen the program grow from just 4 children to over 70 and received the support of the government which recently donated and refurbished a building for their use.
We are unable to share more due to the sensitive nature of the location. Please pray for the expansion of this much needed ministry. Pray also for her three personal disciples and the estimated 60 plus believers in this unreached people group which numbers over 10 million!
Of course our biggest blessing was to see first-hand how God has used this once somewhat timid registered nurse, who several times during Bible school mentioned to us that she felt God calling her to the Muslim world. |
NEW SCHOOLS TO BEGIN IN MEXICO AND SOUTH AMERICA
|
Leaders from Mexico & South America at CNM Expansion meetings in Mexico City.Being one of the largest Bible schools in Mexico, Christ for the Nations Mexico receives invitations each year to start new schools both inside and outside the country. Historically we have had three extension schools in Mexico and a campus in Argentina. In January 2010, we will simultaneosly start two new extension schools in Ecatepec and Merida, Mexico, as well as a campus in Quito, Ecuador where we have people in place. At this time also, we will be sending a family to Cordoba, Argentina to direct the campus there. There are additional opportunities in both Central and South America. Please pray for these new projects which in addition to the vision to send out 100 new Mexican missionaries to the world's least-reached keep us quite busy.
