Isn't Every Christian A Missionary? If every Christian is
already considered a missionary, then all can stay put where they are, and
nobody needs to get up and go anywhere to preach the gospel.
But if our only
concern is to witness where we are, how will people in unevangelized areas ever
hear the gospel? The present uneven distribution of Christians and
opportunities to hear the gospel of Christ will continue unchanged. It has been
said that ninety percent of the Christian workers are ministering to ten
percent of the world's population and ten percent are working among ninety
percent of the people of the world.

Greetings!
Greetings from Mexico City! As you know we are at ground zero for the current Swine Flu pandemic. The last few days have been interesting to say the least. Much of Mexico City is shutting down, the large majority of people are off the streets, opting to stay at home. To top it all off, we had 5.8 earthquake around noon today. Click here to read our update on the Flu pandemic. Click here to see visually how the Flu has spread around the world. We trust we will be able to leave for Europe this Wednesday, as we will be visiting our Mexican workers in France, Spain and Northern Africa. This is the first pastoral trip we will be taking yearly to visit our missionaries throughout the world. We are so thankful for the growing missions vision and commitment of our Mexican church, Amistad Cristiana and look forward to be a blessing to many of our "spiritual children" serving in some difficult places, as well as networking with other organizations to continue sending out more workers to the world's least-reached. |

Amazon Ministry Team
|
Dentists at work in Peru. Teaching others to read.
This month we sent out our first ministry team to minister with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Leticia, Colombia. Leticia is located on the border of Peru and Brazil, situated on the Amazon river. Thirteen Mexicans participated in the Literacy campaign, as well as a small medical brigade consisting of two doctors and three dentists.
The team ministered in four Peruvian villages along the Amazon river and gave both medical and dental attention to more than 400 patients, as well as trained 35 in the ALFALIT Literacy program. Jaime Useche, director of YWAM Leticia mentioned that "the team was they best team they have received in a long time, adaptable in every circumstance, hard-working and committed people even willing to eat crocodile (and edible grub worms), as well as put up with Amazonian mosquitos. They were also a blessing to the YWAM base, as they gave free medical and dental attention to the staff." It's always exciting to receive these teams back home and hear the many testimonies of what God did in and through them. Some even have their missionary calls confirmed on trips like this one! |
Extension Schools Opportunities in South America
|
Our Mexican pastors being introduced at Christ for the Nations in Argentina.
Last month Kerry visited Cordoba, Argentina with our Mexican pastors, Dr. and Mrs. Pardillo, as well as Nahum and Indali Navas. We are praying about beginning a new program there this coming year. We have invitations in other countries in South America, as well as within Mexico.
Please pray for the administration and faculty here in Mexico as we move into the planning stages for starting these new schools. We currently have over 20 teachers and would consider sending several teachers each year to the new extension schools, as well as taking advantage of local Bible teachers in each region.

Prayer Requests
|
1. Pray for our travel by train and bus to 2 cities in France, 3 cities in Spain and 4 cities in northern Africa over the next couple of weeks.
2. Pray for the vision, training and sending of 100 new Mexican missionaries to be sent to the least-reached peoples of the world.
3. Pray for wisdom in starting new extension schools of Christ for the Nations Mexico Institute both in Mexico and in South America.
4. Pray for the process we are in to purchase our home here in Mexico City this year, as well as finances for our sons' schooling.
