Course content

      PROTECTION

 

Engineers need to know how cathodic protection systems will perform.

 

Computer simulation helps by predicting both the potential distributions under different conditions and the anode life. The additional understanding of CP behaviour can save both time and resources, and allows different strategies to be trialled to find the most effective solution.

 

During the course, we provide hands-on training to make you competent to perform simulation of straightforward situations, so that you can be confident in the results you obtain. The theoretical content will also allow you to use the software with appropriate understanding.

 

The course will also cover the new capabilities and enhancements of the forthcoming Release 15 of the BEASY Corrosion and CP software.

For engineers responsible for durability assessment, damage tolerance design, fitness for service assessment, repair and maintenance, BEASY software offers powerful, flexible applications which deliver the tools to quickly and accurately predict integrity and durability.

 

During the hands-on training course, delegates have the opportunity to evaluate and learn how to use BEASY software, including how to interface with FE models.

 

Participants will also learn how the data generated helps identify fracture problems during design, rather than requiring expensive testing, and enables forensic analysis of the results.

 

The course content will also include the capabilities of the latest Release 14 of the BEASY Mechanical Design & Fracture software.
