In his new role, Alpesh will assist with estimating, pre-design services, project design, and bid submittals. He will communicate with project owner representatives, architects, engineers and inspectors in regards to job specifications, and safety issues. He will also be responsible for reporting on geotechnical and environmental issues.
Alpesh comes to us with a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Shri Datta Meghe Polytechnic, a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering Pune, in Maharashtra, India, and a Master of Science in Construction Management at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.

Vacuum Technology Satisfies Vigorous Dust Control Regs at Phoenix Children's Hospital
 The benefits of utilizing vacuum technology to expose existing underground utilities prior to construction are widely known. In fact many municipalities including the City of Phoenix, now mandate its use because of its intrinsic value in preventing damage to existing utilities, which in turn has the potential to save the city millions by preserving its underground infrastructure.Vacuum technology is now the preferred method of potholing for many construction and engineering professionals but no longer just for its damage prevention capabilities. SSC has taken the initiative to develop a dust control enhancement that allows the System 4000 to comply with Maricopa County's strict dust control regulations. For Phoenix Children's Hospital however, in the midst of a $588 million expansion project, dust control is an even more critical issue as they strive to maintain an uncompromising level of service during construction. Major upgrades such as a new parking garage and an 11-story patient tower warranted the expansion of the underground utilities as well. Before new water and electric lines can be installed however, the existing lines needed to be located and exposed. Because of the vacuum's small footprint SSC was able to perform the work within a 10x10 tent and maintain air quality in the areas where there was the greatest concern.Read more about Phoenix Children's Hospital expansion |
