April: Be the Star of Your Show
Ah! Spring has sprung and I love this time of year. It’s a time for new life, new beginnings, and new “scripts!” In the last enewsletter, you learned that the “script” of your life is the roadmap. It guides you on the path you have chosen to set before yourself. Hopefully you've spent some time and have begun writing your script.

The next step to Living Life at Performance Level™ is to decide who is the “Star of the Show?" Whether you realize it or not, you are the star! Even if you describe yourself as a giving person who likes to share the stage with others, you are still the star. You are the only person that will be in every scene of your life, so by default you are the star of the show.

Now the question is, “what character are you currently playing in your show?” Just as you write the script of your life, you can design and become the person you want to be and the kind of character you want to portray. Every line you say is a line in the script of your life. Every action you take is creating a scene in your show. When you think about the character you want to be, change is usually inevitable. One of my mentors, Dr. Will Keim speaks of a yoga master sharing the wisdom that in order for something to change, something must change. In other words, in order for you to change, you must change. You must look in the mirror and analyze the character you’re currently playing and then start redesigning the future star you are becoming.

I believe you have free will to write your own show but I would be remiss not to mention that I also believe that there is something, or should I say someone, larger than all of us. This is the true "Star of the Show" that lights the path and wants you to live effectively and abundantly. So with that, may the light of the sun shine down on you and your stage this Spring and help you to Be the Star!

Stand Center Stage
It's time for the lights to shine down on you, for you to stand center stage and to picture yourself as the star of your own show: the star of your own life.

Today: Take a personal inventory
Ponder and then write down the answers to the following:
• Do you consider yourself the star of your life?
• In what areas, yes? In what areas, no?
• Do you like the person in the mirror who stares back at you?
• If not, why? If so, why?
• What 3 things would you like to change about your character, behavior or personality?

This week: Spend time journaling
Take 15 minutes each morning and write down thoughts about your character and personality. List any limitations you place on yourself or your surroundings. Determine how you will change that perspective through action.

This month: Draw a picture
Cut out photos from various magazines that represent the ideal you - physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually. Write down next to the photo, the attributes this picture possesses. For example: strong, confident, assertive, active, healthy, etc. Put this photo somewhere you will look every day (sock drawer, mirror, in your top desk drawer, in your planner, in your backpack/computer bag, gym bag, car) to remind yourself what you want to achieve and who you want to be

In Star Trek, contrary to popular belief, Captain Kirk never said, "Beam me up, Scotty," in any episode.

The actual star-spangled banner was 30' by 42'--the largest battle flag ever flown.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith was filmed entirely in the studio.

The 1981 All-Star Game in Cleveland was played on August 9, 1981, the latest date ever for the Midsummer Classic because the players' were on strike. The owners used the August 9 game to restart the regular season.

The ABC hit show, Dancing with the Stars originated in England.

ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.

When star-gazing you can expect to see a shooting star every 10 to 15 minutes.

I’ve coordinated a lot of conferences in the last 17 years, and I must tell you that yours is the best keynote that I’ve listened to in a long time; maybe ever. Your message was perfectly delivered and right on point. I just can’t say how it was just fabulous ending to our conference.
