The coins, medals, banknotes, ephemera and scripophily listed in this section of our website all bear cartographic elements, motifs or representations. In some instances the specimens may bear specific maps, in others they may display elements or images of tools specifically related to cartography or they may display an urban, rural or coastal landscape perspective that follows the traditions of Perspective Cartography. We've also included specimens that present celestial maps and celestial objects. There are occasional instances where a work or works of architecture are represented. These are included due to their scale and manner of representation.
All specimens merit inclusion as pieces of cartographic curiosity.
